If you are a marriage and family therapist, a counseling student or associate in the Sacramento Valley, welcome home! The Sacramento Valley Chapter of CAMFT is an independent professional organization representing the interests of licensed marriage and family therapists. SVC-CAMFT provides its members with continuing education credits for professional development, regular networking, community-building, monthly workshops, seasonal socials, and trainings throughout the year.
The
Sacramento Valley Chapter of CAMFT is committed to and is intentional
with regards to increasing awareness of bias as well as the harmful
effects caused by inequity. To that end, our chapter has formed a
diversity committee whose purpose is to enhance the diversity of
programming offered through our chapter's continuing education, in
content and in representation. We acknowledge that this will be a living
statement that will change as we learn and grow.
Committed to our Mission
SVC-CAMFT exist to be a community of therapists supporting the community in having a healthy mind. We can only accomplish this goal by remaining open, non-judgmental and creating safe spaces for those seeking mental health services. SVC-CAMFT echoes the message noted in State CAMFT's press release.
Our
Mission is to focus on relationship building with clients, with our
members, and with our community. Our chapter serves members in
furthering professional excellence as agents of change in enhancing
individuals and families and exerting a positive, humanizing impact on
the larger society.

Member Spotlight!
Bianca Zuniga, AMFT
Bianca has recently joined The Davis Group in El Dorado Hills, where she works with couples, teens, and children. She specializes in behavioral concerns, OCD, anxiety, and is LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Bianca joined SVC-CAMFT to connect with like-minded therapists and continually expand her clinical skills. Her favorite experience so far was attending a recent Sex Therapy Techniques workshop, which has been invaluable in her work with couples, particularly for queer-centered topics.
In her practice, Bianca follows the advice from a mentor, emphasizing the importance of authentic emotional reactions in sessions to build stronger therapeutic bonds. Outside of work, she loves traveling, exploring new food spots, spending time with friends, and taking her dog Angus to the beach.
